Brilliant Balloon Bonnets!

We made our brilliant Easter bonnets with balloons and recycled newspaper.

We made our bonnets with balloons.

First covered the balloons with papier mache made from old newspapers and glue.

We used old newspaper and glue to make papier mache.

We left the glue to dry for a few days and when it was hard we painted it.

The glue dried and we painted the balloon nice, bright colours.

When the paint had dried we decorated our balloon bonnets with bits of recycled paper and other decorations.

We used bits of recycled paper to decorate the balloons.

We stuck the bonnets to a hairband and went to the Easter Bonnet parade!

It was hard work, (and very messy!), but they looked great!
