Junior Infants observe signs of Spring!
On Friday last the 5th of February, the classes of room 1,2 and 3 took a trip to the duck pond!
Our duck pond is located on Blessington Street, Dublin 7. Maybe you might like to take a trip to this duck pond – follow these directions:
1. Take a left at the top of upper Gardiner Street /Dorset Street Junction.
2. Walk straight for approximately five minutes until you reach the junction of Blessington Street and Dorset Street.
3. Here cross the street to Blessington Street, walk straight for five minutes until you reach a cul-de-sac.
4.You have reached Blessington Street Duck Pond!
Here they observed the signs of Spring, the new buds on the trees, the animals that came out of their deep sleep, and of course they fed the hungry ducks with some bread.
They also got to play for a while in the fantastic playground next to the duck pond! They had a great time.
The Pig in the Pond
Many thanks to all the parents from Room 3 who helped out with our Pig in the Pond activity! We read the book and then made our very own pigs and put them in our pond. It was great fun!
The Helix
Room 3 went to the Helix this week to see ‘Santa Move Over’.
It was a fun Christmas show with lots of singing and dancing. We went on a special bus to the theatre.
