Gabriel said, ‘GAA was really fun, we got to learn new things about GAA, and we got to play it!’
Amber enjoyed the sports day. ‘We got to go out to Holy Cross College and exercise for the day’.

All in all we worked super hard in EX1 this year. We would like to day thank you to all the teachers who have worked with our class all year!  We will see you all again next year! We hope that you all stay safe over the summer months and MOST OF ALL BE CAREFUL in the water!

PostHeaderIcon Senior Sports Day June 2017

On Friday 9th of June last we had our annual Senior Sports Day! What a day we had! This year it was held at Holy Cross College down the road from us, which was a real treat! We are very grateful for the use of these facilities.

From the moment we arrived it was all go! We kicked off proceedings with some ‘Morning Moves’ with Áine facilitating a mini yoga session. Thank you Áine!

After this we worked our way around the stations which included Parachute activities/ Tug Of War, G.A.A., Sprint/Hurdles, Novelty Games (Sack race, egg and spoon race, three legged race), and football rounders.

We also got to enjoy our lunch along the banks of the fields! Thanks to everyone involved! We saw such fantastic levels of sportsmanship from our children, and the level of teamwork displayed was out of this world! Well done everyone! Until next year….

PostHeaderIcon Sam makes a welcome return to Gardiner Street!

The Sam Maguire cup came to visit us this Spring (4/4/17). Pupils from Larkin college and Martin Nolan (our GAA coaching team over the last 3 months as part of the North Inner city project in partnership with DCC and Parnell Park) accompanied Sam on his faithful return to the school!

Dublin beat Mayo in the All-Ireland final last year, and so get to retain Sam Maguire for another year! Maybe it’ll be 3 in a row! We were thrilled to see it. We wore blue and navy and sang out ‘Molly Malone’ to welcome him! Take a look at our photos!
