Carol Service & Nativity Play 2015
St. Francis Xavier Church was once again the venue for our Carol Service, performed by children from 3rd to 6th classes and the Nativity Play, performed by the 2nd classes.
The orchestra joined in to make the event very special. Sasha Donnelly from 5th class sang “Oh Holy Night” beautifully while children from 5th and 6th classes performed a liturgical dance to “Away in a Manger”. Parents and friends filled the church and the atmosphere was very prayerful. Thanks to Catherine, Jackie, Rachel and Sinead for the wonderful costumes. Well done to all the teachers, both class teachers and resource teachers who prepared the children. Everybody expressed thanks to Fr. Gerry Clarke who made the church available.
Junior Christmas Concerts 2015
Christmas was a great opportunity for the children to show-case their singing talents. During the concert the children from the Infant and First classes sang Irish and English songs, recited poems in English and Irish and presented the Nativity. Mr. Kevin O’ Dwyer accompanied the children on the piano. We had really special performances from the Beginner Fiddle Group and the Beginner Accordion Group. Well done everybody!
