Illustrating Stories using Microsoft Paint
Fifth and Sixth class recently used computers to make illustrated stories. On Wednesday the 11/12/13 celebrated children’s author and illustrator Ian Jackson presented a fantastic workshop using Microsoft Paint. Mr Jackson author and illustrator of Big Fat Pig taught us how to illustrate vibrant and interesting pictures by just using the click of a mouse!
Using Microsoft Paint students worked in groups to create pictures which were then sequenced to reveal traditional stories a lot of us are familiar with. A unique combination of illustrations and captions allowed us to unfold the following tales: The Gingerbread Man, Jack and the Beanstalk as well as The Three Little Pigs. We really enjoyed working together and it was an amazing experience!!
